Deborah Percy

Deborah has spent most of her working life involved in the performing arts in such diverse roles as opera singer, musical theatre performer, stage director, presenter, motivational speaker, singing teacher and vocal coach. 

Deborah has taught singing privately for over 30 years and been vocal coach for school productions in New Zealand and Australia and has been a member of ANATS (Australian National Association of Teachers of Singing) and NEWZATS (New Zealand Association of Teachers of Singing). Deborah is also an accreditated AMEB (Australian Music Examinations Board) teacher.

However, it is as Founder & Director of Acting Antics International that Deborah has been able to fully utilize her experience and knowledge and indulge her passion for working with children.  Deborah has not only written extensive curriculum for Performance Acting and Performance Singing classes for children aged 4 to 13 years, but has trained teachers in the delivery of that curriculum in New Zealand, Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong. Deborah is a highly experienced stage director having worked on over 140 productions since 1997.  

Deborah is well known for her passion and energy which she gives unstintingly to her work and to those she works with. This passion and energy drives her to ensure all our budding performers and Program Directors commit to achieving the company’s mission statement “Self Discovery through Performance”.
