YOUTH THEATRE - SENIORGo Back Enrol Now

Program: YOUTH THEATRE
Program Group: SENIOR View Synopsis

SENIOR YOUTH THEATRE is for students age 7 to 12 years.  Students do not need any previous stage or acting experience, however, they do need to be prepared to contribute, work hard and have loads of fun.

Youth Theatre is NOT a holiday care program, it is serious theatre for those that are keen to learn and be on stage.

Plays and musical plays are written so that every student receives a meaningful role with dialogue.  Roles are designed so that those with more confidence and experience can be extended, while those less confident can be nurtured.

Play Synopsis

Mr. Pinstripe, the sequel to “Rosie”, is set in New York city in the fabulous 1920’s. Fast Freddie has met his demise & is resting quietly somewhere in the East River. His nightclub, the Tropicana, is now run by Jimmy the Gentleman (aka Mr. Pinstripe), Fat Freddie and the gorgeous Ginger and her girls. On the other side of town the Ritz is thriving under Rosie and her girls, however, things never stay calm for long in New York city, especially when Rosetta and the Chicago gang come to town. Suddenly everything is upside down and Rosie finds herself in jail. What devious deal has Rosetta and the Chigago gang done with Police Chief McGredie to get Rosie out of the way? Can Molly Malone, slickest lawyer in the city, get Rosie out on bail, and where does the Mayor fit into all of this? Can Jimmy the Gentleman save the day once again, and what price will Rosie have to pay?
