YOUTH THEATRE - SENIORGo Back Enrol Now

Program: YOUTH THEATRE
Program Group: SENIOR View Synopsis

SENIOR YOUTH THEATRE is for students age 7 to 12 years.  Students do not need any previous stage or acting experience, however, they do need to be prepared to contribute, work hard and have loads of fun.

Youth Theatre is NOT a holiday care program, it is serious theatre for those that are keen to learn and be on stage.

Plays and musical plays are written so that every student receives a meaningful role with dialogue.  Roles are designed so that those with more confidence and experience can be extended, while those less confident can be nurtured.

Play Synopsis

Travel back in time to the Wild West where Rancher McMillan, a powerful ruthless landowner, will stop at nothing to control the State of South Dakota, and what better opportunity to do so, than to win the next State election. What devious tricks will she and her tough cowboys Bones & Whip use to make Doctor Sarah Jane, Undertaker Joshia Nub and Mr Brownlow the bank manager withdraw as candidates? Where do Charlotte, the stuck-up current Mayor’s wife, her friend Petunia, the bossy schoolmistress, and Felicity Burrows, editor of the Deadwood Times, fit into the scheme of things? Can Tina, owner of the Talkalot Saloon and her showgirls, Ruby, Diamond, Jade & Emerald help Sheriff Carlyle & his Deputies Dwang & Twang outwit McMillan and foil her devious plan?
